Research Abstract |
In this research, I tried to analyse the Kanji shape sets in **** of Modem Japanese, *** of Modern Chinese, and *** of Modem Korea, which consist of about 2000 elements. The results are as follows. 1. Differences in practical phase, including geometrical distribution in space, are pursuited between Japanese Kanji and Chinese Kanji. 2. Present state of old style Kanji are investigated over the "traditional shape Kanji" area, not containing Vietnam, distributed in East Asia. 3. Concerning to scripts in ex-traditional Kanji area usefulness of "common rate of set" is tested through a comparison with Greek-Roman alphabets. 4. I drew out script units of Korean ***, and showed all their geometrical standard figures. I also presented the charts how they combined in each script of 1800 ****.
