研究成果の概要

ムラサキイガイに存在する新規なタンパク質一次構造を持つα-ガラクトシド結合性レクチンMytiLec-1の有す遺伝子から立体にいたる、全構造情報を明らかにできた。
MytiLec-1はリンパ腫細胞のGb3糖脂質糖鎖と結合し、古典的MAPキナーゼ経路とストレス依存性キナーゼ経路、プログラム細胞死を担うカスパーゼの活性化、サイクリン依存性キナーゼ阻害タンパク質と腫瘍壊死因子の産生を高め、複数経路から細胞死を誘導したことを明らかにした。
両結果から、MytiLec-1による食用貝の免疫系の活性化に役立つ次期の研究計画を構想できた。
