われわれの共同研究の目的は、現代における科学・技術の巨大な発展とそれがもたらした成果と問題の社会的意味を学際的に探究しようとするところに設定されてきた。科学・技術を通じた自然支配と、市場経済・大衆民主主義を通じた社会統合とを両輪とした近代化の過程は、次第にテクノロジーとビューロクラシーとの特殊な結合形態をとるに至るとともに、この現在にあっては既に、自然-社会-文化の様々な場面において停滞と転換への様相を、さらに病理的様相をも呈示しつつあると確認される。
(1)本研究のひとつの重要な結節点をなす科学・技術論に関して、われわれは『科学技術社会学の理論』(木鐸社)の著者、松木三和夫東京大学助教授を協力者として見出すことができた。
(2)研究分担者、今井弘道北海道大学教授の法哲学研究は、今年10月には南京師範大学において開催される「アジア法哲学会第3回大会」において基調報告をおこなうという段階にまで展開されている。
(3)研究代表者、高幣については本年度、本科研補助金による研究のほかに、それと並行して日本学術振興会・日独科学協会事業(『現在の社会哲学-科学技術・社会・文化』)が発足し、平成11年6月にドイツ側代表者A・ホネット・フランクフルト大学哲学研究所教授を、また10月にはソウル大学韓相震教授を訪問して共同研究への準備調整をおこなったうえで、12月よりその実行段階にはいっている。
This co-operative study organized by 5 members of Hokkaido University tried to clarify the social and cultural effects and problems occurred by the developments of modern Science-Technology in each field of human activities. Nowadays the process of modernisation by means of technology, market economy and mass democracy has been coming to a turning point; the comprehensive understanding of the relation between human beings and nature, social organizations and culture as a whole requires a total and critical analysis. Our project needs to be continued and has to be developed in a higher class. The results obtained through our research are planned to be published from Yuhikaku publishing company in these some years.
