研究概要（最新報告）
本研究によって20世紀のイメージ分析における形態学的方法論について次の成果を得た。
1.アビ・ヴァールブルクの図像アトラス「ムネモシュネ」を解析し、そこに形成されているイメージ記憶の多次元的なネットワーク構造を明らかにした。
2.「原型」概念と図像学との関係を中心とした、ヴァールブルクに対するゲーテ自然学の影響を考察した。その過程で、ボッティチェリの絵画における「細部」表現への着目を媒介として、ヴァールブルクと矢代幸雄の分析手法を比較した。
3.レヴィ=ストロースの構造主義やカルロ・ギンズブルグの歴史分析(ミクロストリア)などをとりあげて、文化科学における形態学的方法論の将来的可能性を検討した。さらに、写真や映像が形態学的方法論に及ぼした影響を分析したうえで、現代におけるゴダールの『映画史』をはじめとする映像作品に、同種の方法の活用を見出した。
4.文化科学諸分野におけるゲーテ的形態学の影響の背後に、個体発生と系統発生を結びつけて進化論を発展させたドイツの動物学者エルンスト・ヘッケルの業績があることを見出し、19世紀以降の生物学における生命形態変化の理論とその図像的表現が、視覚的イメージをめぐる文化科学的分析に深い影響を与えていることを明らかにした。
5.進化論は、視覚イメージ現象の生物学的基盤の解明とともに、生命の形態学約変化を図像化したことにより、視覚的イメージをめぐる文化科学的研究ばかりではなく、視覚芸術の創造活動にも影響を及ぼしており、この影響関係のプロセスの究明が今後の課題として発見された。
As for this research, the following results were gained about the morphological method in the image analysis in the 20th century.
1.The image atlas "Mnemosyne" of Aby Warburg was analyzed, and its multidimensional structure of image memories was made clear.
2.The influence of Goethean theory of nature upon the thought of Warburg was investigated, especially in the relationship between the Goethean concept of "type" and the iconology of Warburg. In the process of this investigation, the analytical methods of Warburg and Yukio Yashiro were compared in their analyses of "details" of the paintings by Sandro Botticelli.
3.The theoretical potentialities of the morphological methodology in the cultural sciences was sought in the structuralism of Claude Levi-Strauss and the micro history (microstoria) of Carlo Ginzburg. Furthermore, based on the analysis of the influence of visual media such as photography and film upon the morphological methodology, the similar morphological method was found out in the visual art works such as Jean-Luc Godard's "Histoire(s) du cinema".
4.It was found out that the thoughts of Ernst Haeckel, German zoologist, who developed Darwinian evolution theory by means of the connection of ontogeny to phylogeny, contributed much for the wide influence of Goethean morphology upon the many fields of cultural sciences and that the theory of morphological changes of life and their visual expressions in the biology since the 19th century influenced the analyses of visual images in cultural sciences deeply.
5.The evolution theory has influenced not only the cultural sciences about visual images, but also the creations of visual arts through its knowledge about the biological basis of visual imaging and the visualization of morphological changes of life. The process of this influence was found as the important theme to develop.
