Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have advanced the development of techniques for formation and characterization of singularity structures, fostering the growth of a new academic discipline. We have promoted international collaborative research, brain circulation, and the hosting of international conferences, ensuring sustained initiative in this research field. Despite some activities being interrupted or postponed due to the global spread of COVID-19, we achieved planned outcomes by establishing new collaborative implementation systems through online and hybrid formats.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

国際活動支援班では若手研究者海外派遣事業を実施し,米国・欧州を中心に材料科学分野における先進的成果を数多く輩出する研究機関と密な連携が実現した。また、本領域の若手研究者が企画から運営を行った国際事業(IWUMD-2017, IWN2018, CGCT-8, Virtual Workshop on Materials Science and Advanced Electronics Created by Singularity等)を通じて,関連分野の若手育成に貢献した。
