| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The objectives of the Soukatsu Group are to set the direction of planned and open research, to raise the level of research capacity through technical support, and to provide a framework for the promotion of human networks and collaborative research within the Area. The success of this area depends on the maximum functioning of multi-centre collaborative research within the area. For this reason, a Research Support Group has been established to ensure that the necessary technical infrastructure, animal models and human samples are almost fully covered. An International Activities Support Group has been established as a subordinate organisation of the General Group, which works on building an international network, conducting joint research with outstanding researchers at home and abroad, collaborating with overseas research institutions, and actively disseminating information at home and abroad.

本領域は、階層縦断的に構成的理解を目指すことを縦の糸とし、種間横断的検証（ヒト・マカク属サル・マーモセット・ラット・マウス）が横の糸であり、これらを達成するためのキーワードは「最先端計測」「in silicoモデリング」「光操作」などの技術基盤である。総括班は、縦糸および横糸を有効に張るための核である。領域研究が進むことにより、構成的に脳機能を理解することに繋がる。その延長上には、精神疾患で障害される精神機能の物質的基盤、とりわけ、ヒト研究もしくは動物研究単独では決してなしえない必須の基礎知見となりうる。
