Outline of Research at the Start

多様な経路で実行されるオートファジーやそれらによる選択的基質分解(マルチモードオートファジーと定義)は相互に関連し、細胞の環境適応、恒常性、分化などの幅広い細胞機能を制御すると考えられる。本研究では、マルチモードオートファジー領域における計画研究および公募研究の推進（企画調整）、支援、評価、そして若手研究者の育成、海外研究者との多岐にわたる共同研究のサポートを行い、オートファジー研究を新しいステージへ導き、次世代に発展させる。また同時に、それらの成果を広く社会に発信するための領域ホームページやフォーラムを整備する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

1. 領域ホームページの設置とオートファジーフォーラム：領域ホームページ（https://proteolysis.jp/multimode_autophagy/）を随時更新し、領域のアピールを行った。論文紹介サイト オートファジーフォーラム（https://proteolysis.jp/a_forum/）には、領域発足以降令和6年4月24日現在、 224件の論文が紹介されており、多くの若手がこれに貢献しており、領域内の迅速な情報交換に寄与した。
2. 総括班会議、班会議、若手の会およびオートファジー研究会の開催：総括班会議（令和5年11月28日）を開催し、領域推進の問題点、今後の計画等を議論し、順調な領域運営に貢献した。第5回班会議（令和5年11月28日～30日 越後湯沢温泉 リゾートホテル ナスパニューオータニ）では170名 （口頭発表 52名）の参加があった。本領域では若手育成を目的のひとつとしており、令和5年度は、領域班会議の前日に若手の会を開催した（令和5年11月27日）。17名の口頭発表があった。いずれも若手が熱心に議論を交わしており、若手育成に貢献した。
4. その他：第75回日本細胞生物学会、第23回日本蛋白質科学会年会において共催シンポジウムを開催し、領域の広報に貢献するとともに他領域との交流を深化した。
