Outline of Research at the Start

総括班は、領域全体の総括、研究の進捗状況の確認・評価のみならず、研究推進上の諸問題を解決したり、班員間の調整を行うことを目的とする。また一般社会向けの公開シンポジウムや、アウトリーチ活動を支援するとともに、成果の取りまとめや国際活動等の領域全体の企画・運営も行う。さらに、次世代を担う非ゲノム情報研究者の育成を図り、領域全体の研究支援のために先端技術基盤を確立することも重要な役割である。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

We believe that the sharing of experimental techniques, information, and results is extremely important to effectively promote the achievement of the research goals of this research area. In addition, it is essential to promote effective and active collaborative research within the area in order to achieve the goals of the area. To this end, it is important that team members regularly exchange information and have a mutual understanding of the content of their research. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a major disruption in these activities in the first half of the research funding period, and the following measures were implemented to promote research in the research area.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

総括班活動により本領域全体の研究活動が促進されたことの学術的意義は非常に大きい。またHPやSlack, Newsletterなどでの研究成果の発信により社会的な注目や興味をもたらしたことは社会的意義としても大きいものと考えている。
