Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements
TThe environment in animals changes from moment to moment, and the brain is regulated by these signals in a variety of ways. The goal of this research area is to decode the information expressed by glial cells. 5 years of research have led to new discoveries in the new mechanisms of glia-related brain functional regulation that could not be captured by analysis of neural circuits alone, the regulation of pain-related information by specific glial subsets, and the development of techniques to comprehensively decode glial cell states, functions, and cell-to-cell signaling. We have made new discoveries in the development of techniques to comprehensively read the state, function, and intercellular signaling of glial cells, and have been able to publish our findings in many international journals. The supervisory group has conducted joint research, international exchanges, and outreach activities, and has been successful in achieving results.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
