本研究領域は「ディストピア倫理学」を創出することを目指す。総括班は、計画研究班どうしの連携および調整を行いつつ、関連学術分野の知見を総合しながら新たな学術理念を生み出すための共同作業を行う。また総括班は、領域全体としての活動を推進するため、領域のコミュニティー化、若手研究人材の育成プラン、成果発信に向けた施策を計画し、それら諸活動の総括を行う。
