Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We collected 150/fb of proton-proton collision data at ATLAS detector. Using this dataset, (1) we discovered direct coupling between Higgs and b-quark and measured its coupling strength with 13% precision, (2) we discovered direct coupling between Higgs and t-quark and measured its coupling strength with 9% precision, (3) we found a sign of Higgs to muon coupling, and (4) we measured Higgs boson mass with 0.2% precision. In order to improve the precision of various Higgs measurements, and to determine Higgs self-coupling at the LHC high luminosity project (HL-LHC) in future, we carried out the development of cutting edge silicon tracking detectors. Developments of silicon pixel module and silicon strip sensor are completed. Based on this research and development, Technical Design Report of new silicon tracker for ATLAS upgrade was completed.
