Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this project, asymmetric porous structures formed by the integration of metal complexes were used as a platform to create unique functions and properties by utilizing flexible asymmetric space and changes in the arrangement and phase of guest molecules. We have established original in situ measurement systems for magnetism, powder X-ray diffraction, emission spectra, Raman and IR spectra, etc. under pressure-controlled guest atmosphere, and mainly proceeded (1) macroscopic polarity control by cooperative changes in space and guest molecular arrangement and (2) control of physical properties triggered by structural changes with loss of symmetry, by using cyano-bridged MOFs with flexible coordination structures as key materials.
