Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We performed sequence analysis of genes related to human neuropsychiatric disorders in macaque monkeys and marmosets to identify individuals and families with loss-of-function (LoF) mutations. We analyzed 503 and 1281 neuropsychiatric-related genes in 1231 macaque monkeys and 503 marmosets, respectively, and found that 10 genes in macaques and 18 genes in marmosets had LoF mutations in neuropsychiatric-related genes. As part of the development of cellular individuality analysis technology, we established the single-cell RNA-seq analysis system in the autism marmoset model brain and clarified the expression dynamics in the diseased brain at the single-cell level.
