Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Through the physics of gravitational waves, we approached the essence of gravity and the universe, set the construction of a gravitational theory beyond general relativity as one of our goals, and succeeded in constructing a general theoretical framework for that purpose. Specifically, we discovered the minimal theory of bigravity (MTBG), which eliminates all fatal instabilities. We also succeeded in extending the effective field theory with timelike scalar profile to arbitrary backgrounds. Furthermore, in case merger of primordial black holes is observed, we proposed a method to reconstruct the power spectrum of the short-scale primordial density fluctuations from the merger rate.
