Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we developed chemical imaging probes for spatiotemporal analysis of the function of biomolecules and bioactive ligands in living cells and animals. We developed pH-responsive fluorescent probes that can be delivered to bone tissue for detecting osteoclast and osteocyte activity in living mice. We also evaluated the drug action on these cell activities. In addition, we developed small molecule-protein hybrid probes for visualization of important processes such as DNA methylation, endogenous membrane protein expression, and protein degradation in living cells.
