| Research Abstract |
We examined theoretical framework on the concept of sustainability of cities and regions. Sustainability is said to have three aspects, environmental, economical, and social aspect. We pointed out that built environment needs to be included in the environmental aspect of sustainability. Through action researches on various fields, it is clarified that the local level governance should be in accordance with local domiciliary culture.
