Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We successfully created the ultracold atomic mixture of Er, Yb, and Li which has a large imbalance, and established the inter-species Feshbach resonance technique which can arbitrarily control the inter-species interaction. As a result, we successfully obtained the experimental result suggesting the creation of novel Efimov trimer state with an angular momentum, which is only possible for large mass-imbalance system. In addition, we performed the high-resolution laser spectroscopy for atoms in an optical lattice by exploiting the Feshbach resonance between the ground and metastable states of Yb atoms. This reveals the three-body force of atoms in an optical lattice, explained by our theoretical calculations.
