| Research Abstract |
By alternate irradiation with UV and visible light, reversible formation of micrometer sized crystals with different shapes corresponding to open-and closed-ring isomers of photochromic diarylethenes was observed accompanied with superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic property of the surface. Controlling the temperature after UV irradiation enabled the size-control of the crystals, and photo-control of lotus and petal effects of wetting was performed.
