Research Abstract |
We found that, in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT), naturally occurring TNF/iNOS-producing DCs (Tip-DCs) regulate both T cell-dependent and -independent IgA induction, and pDCs play a prominent role in T cell-independent IgA induction. In the peripheral lymphoid tissues under severe infection, monocyte-derived DCs (Mo-DCs) perform hemophagocytosis to fine-tune excessive immune responses. Furthermore, in the BM, we identified a clonogenic progenitor with prominent pDC developmental potential.
