Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, the aim was to elucidate the dynamics of bio elements at the single-cell level, while developing analytical methods based on speciation as the fundamental research strategy. As many metal-containing metabolites are biosynthesized in the cell, we used advanced technology to analyze the metal-containing metabolome in the cell and took on the challenge of elucidating the unexplored mechanisms of biological reactions. As a result, analytical chemistry-related results, including the development of a single-cell analysis for some essential elements, and an toxicological result, the identification of an unknown metabolite of the rare metal, tellurium in higher plants, were achieved.
