Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

This empirical research aimed to identify possible factors that define the limits of experts' skills and to develop means whereby overcomes the limits. The results revealed that somatosensory function during active movement production is related to the improvement of fine motor skills, and that abnormal auditory-motor integration function occurs with the loss of skills in association with psychological stress. Furthermore, somatosensory experiences of passive complex movements contributed to the improvement of experts' motor skills. These results suggest a relationship between the ceiling effect of experts' motor skills and their sensory function.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
