Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は心脳限界の認識と突破に関する科学哲学・倫理学である。領域に特有の倫理的・法的・社会的課題を人文学的に掘り下げ、限界認識・突破の概念を彫琢することで、心脳限界突破という新たな融合学問領域に社会的・学問論的位置づけを与える。本研究は心脳限界認識の哲学と心脳限界突破の倫理学に二分される。哲学的考察においては心の哲学、現象学、社会哲学の知見を援用しながら人間の認識、知識、能力の限界を規定する人間の自己反省的な認識のあり方、その限界を突破する人間の欲求を検討する。倫理学的考察においては、理論的方法、経験的方法双方を混合させ、心脳限界突破の倫理的妥当性を人間的および社会的側面から検討する。
