Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は,A01・A02・A04班により高密化・集積化された高密度共役分子集積体に対して様々な物性測定を行い,π共役を超える新しい分子間共役である“X”-conjugationを検証・確立する。具体的には,Only One計測評価技術と化学的な知見を組み合わせ,新物質の超高速定量評価とスクリーニングを目指す。蓄積した情報はA01・A02班にフィードバックし,機能開拓に適した集合体を実現する。併せて,領域内共通装置を核とした高密度共役物性評価支援拠点をA04班と形成し,領域内共同研究を通して,構造・光・伝導・熱・磁気特性を最適化し,“X”-conjugationの本質を解き明かす。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は,A01・A02・A04班により高密化・集積化された高密度共役分子集積体に対して様々な物性測定を行い,新しい分子間共役である“X”-conjugationを検証・確立する。昨年度に引き続き,2023年度は,基礎物性解明と「高次複合解析法」の基盤確立に取り組んだ。以下に成果を示す。
光電子素子形成・評価(竹延・福井) 1) キャリア伝導・光・熱・磁気物性の解明:電気化学的な手法と熱起電力測定を組み合わせ、熱起電力のキャリア密度・温度・磁場依存性を明らかにした。その結果、高分子材料において興味深い伝導特性のクロスオーバーが生じていることを見出した。2) 電気化学・電気二重層トランジスタを用いた超高密度キャリア蓄積:一昨年度中に導入した物理特性測定システムを駆使し,低温において電解質を凍結させ、大電流密度および高励起子密度を実現した。これにより、励起子間相互作用の観測に成功した。
環境制御下超微細構造評価(熊井・福井):福井が反芳香族分子ノルコロールの近接積層二量体に対する精密構造解析に向けた良質な単結晶の育成を行い、熊井が放射光X線を用いた精密構造解析により、福井、忍久保(A01班)と共同でNiノルコロール誘導体結晶において、分子間に有意な電子密度の存在を確認した。さらに、A04班福島、庄子らと共同で新たな系での精密構造解析を進めつつある。また、クライオ電子顕微鏡を用いた微小結晶の構造解析を行い、A04班福島、庄子らと共同でトリプチセン誘導体の構造を明らかにした。
超高スループット電子伝導・スピン輸送複合評価(関):電子輸送の高次複合解析法として特に,円偏光光による選択励起キャリア生成・界面電子輸送計測とスピン偏極電流計測に着目して研究を推進し,低次元共役物質における空間反転対称性の破れと局所的な電子状態密度の向上が共存する物質系を見出しつつある.

Reason

2023年度は、竹延・福井が打ち出す戦略のもと,竹延・熊井・関がOnly One計測評価技術を活かした基礎物性解明と「高次複合解析法」の基盤確立を目標としていた。以下に,各研究項目の進捗状況を示す。
光電子素子形成・評価(竹延・福井)
1) キャリア伝導・光・熱・磁気物性の解明および2) 電気化学・電気二重層トランジスタを用いた超高密度キャリア蓄積:伝導・光・熱・磁気物性の評価を目標としており、2023年度は、これまでの技術を複合化させた電気伝導度と熱起電力のキャリア密度・温度・磁場依存性を単一試料に対して解明することに成功しており、当初の計画以上に「高次複合解析法」が進展したと言える。
環境制御下超微細構造評価(熊井・福井):熊井と福井の連携が更に発展し、本研究課題の最終目標の一つである高密度共役の可視化に不可欠である電子密度分布解析に必要な回折データ測定を継続し、最終年度を待たずして分子間に有意な電子密度の存在を確認した。当初の計画以上の進展である。
超高スループット電子伝導・スピン輸送複合評価(関):高次複合解析法の設計・開発が予定通りに進んでいる。並行して、これまでの技術を用いた成果も順調に得られている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

A01・A02・A04班により高密化・集積化された高密度共役分子集積体に対する様々な物性測定により得られた成果があがっている。加えて、領域発足後に新たに開発した「高次複合解析法」による成果が順調に挙がっており、当初の計画以上に進展している。今後も、当初の研究計画に従って推進する。
