Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、生体分子のナノスケールでの構造形成である「蛋白質folding」の制御メカニズムを、従来の「熱力学視点」から「速度論視点」への変革によって解明する。特にfolding制御因子であるシャペロンに注目し、シャペロンがどのように蛋白質の特定のfolding過程を「遅延制御」することで天然構造へと導くのか、そのメカニズムを明らかにする。それによって、生体分子の複雑で非対称な構造形成における多段階制御メカニズムの理解と「遅延制御超分子化学」の分子基盤確立を目指す。具体的には、シャペロンを対象とした立体構造解析、キネティクス解析などに取り組む。
