Outline of Research at the Start

超弦理論に基づいた高次元宇宙モデルであるブレーンワールドの観点から「極限宇宙」の一つである「時間の極限」、すなわち宇宙の創生の謎の解明に取り組む。
特に、素粒子論で発展してきたゲージ重力対応(特に笠-高柳公式)の量子情報理論的側面をブレーンワールドに取り入れることにより、宇宙創生・加速膨張の謎および、重力・時空の全容を解明することを目標とする。
平行して、量子情報理論的な記述の有効性について吟味するために、宇宙観測からの検証や物性実験への洞察への土台作りを行う。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

宇宙の始まりやその加速膨張の起源の解明、そしてブラックホール内部の構造の基礎研究に関して、高次元および4次元時空の両面から取り組み以下の結果を得た。
(i)量子カオスの新たな指標として提案されたKrylov複雑性の性質を古典・量子ビリヤード系で解析し、この量が他のカオス性の指標と強い相関を示すことなどを解明した。この研究はブラックホールの量子論、AdS/CFT対応のいくつかの予想の検証に繋がるものと期待されている。(ii)4次元時空におけるEinstein方程式の真空解として、宇宙紐によって加速されたブラックホールのペアを表すC計量と呼ばれる解が知られている。我々はポテンシャルを持ったファントムスカラー場が存在する場合のC計量を構築し、漸近的AdSワームホールを加速させた時空であることを明らかにした。この研究は、高次元膜宇宙模型やワームホールのスロート構造の解明に深い洞察を与えます。(iii)強弱に寄らず重力を検知する面(重力検知面)に対する面積不等式の証明を高次元の場合に拡張した。また、重力検知面の膨張宇宙への応用などがなされた。 (iv)帯電ブラックホールに静的摂動を加えた時空を調べ、非球対称な光子面が存在しうることを示した。光子面はその面上の任意の方向に沿って光子が運動し続ける面として定義されるもので、強い重力場中で存在し得る。一般相対論検証に欠かせない基礎研究として位置づけられる。(v)量子重力理論の有効理論の一つとして考えられているHorava-Lifshitz重力のような、楕円型方程式に従うスカラー自由度を含む一般的な重力理論のニュートン極限を調べ、実験・観測による検証可能性を議論した。(vi)初期特異点の無い宇宙についてエントロピーの最大量に関する性質を解析し、エントロピーに基づく特異点定理と従来の幾何学的な特異点定理との差異を明らかにした。

Reason

他分野研究者との共同研究により、分野横断型の研究を遂行できた。具体的には、ブラックホールの量子論、AdS/CFT対応のいくつかの予想の検証を念頭に、量子カオスの新たな指標として提案されたKrylov複雑性の解析を行うことができた。また、量子重力のモデルとして注目を浴びているブレーンワールドとAdS/CFT対応の設定との接合系におけるブレーン上の時空構造の解析を継続中である。加えて、今年度は一般相対論と重力に関する国際会議を名古屋大学にて主催することにより、国内外の多くの関連分野研究者と交流を実現でき、今後の展開について検討する際の判断材料を得ることができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

昨年度と同様に大阪で開催される国際会議General Relativity and Gravitation in Japanの開催に貢献し、本研究計画の成果を広く世界に周知させる。これにより周辺分野の研究者を取り入れた形で研究が遂行できるであろう。また、今年度は膨張宇宙やブレーンワールド宇宙の模擬実験を行っている研究者との積極的な交流を図る。同時に、量子情報で重要となる極小曲面に関する数学的な発展についても数学者と協調することでさらなる研究の前進を模索する。具体的には、昨年度と同様に幾何学者との研究会「一般相対論と幾何」の共同開催を行い、問題点を共有する。
