Outline of Research at the Start

応用探索班ではデータ記述科学の適用可能分野を広げるため，分野の垣根を超えて普遍的に適用できる，高次元データの「かたち」と「うごき」を可視化する記述子の開発に挑戦する．本申請では，科学技術を社会へ普及する上で重要な医療・経済・エネルギー分野を対象に，高次元医療データの VRによる可視化，TDAを用いた大規模経済ネットワークの解析とその応用，地下資源開発のための地下構造推定と生産予測を実施する．それぞれの分野における革新的データ解析手法の提案，課題解決が実現する他，記述子の普遍性を追求することで，より広い学術・科学技術分野への適用も可能となり，データ記述科学の開拓と発展に力強く貢献することになる．
