Outline of Research at the Start

実験技術の革新的な進歩により得られる大量のデータから生命現象の本質をどう抽出するか，さらには，複数の階層と時空間スケールからなる生命の構造をどう統合的に捉えられるかというデータと数理の問題は今後の生命科学の進歩を左右する極めて重要な問題の一つになっている．本研究では生命の各層から得られるデータから生命機能の本質的な情報を抽出し，それらの情報を階層間で繋げる．これにより生命現象全体を包括的に理解可能とする統合的数理手法の開発，及びデータから現象を結びつける実装的システムの基盤創出を目指す．
