Outline of Research at the Start

本計画研究では、微生物由来の新規テルペン合成酵素と、微生物由来の新規ポリケチド合成酵素を主な標的として集積し、生物有機化学的、生化学的、構造生物学的に解析することで、未踏の天然有機化合物を取得する。計算科学の手法を駆使して、遺伝情報や構造情報を機械学習等の処理技術で解析することで、未利用の天然有機化合物の構造や生合成経路を理論的に予知するシステムを構築する。このシステム構築により、これまでの「探す」天然物化学から「創る」天然物化学の実現に向けて、飛躍的な展開を図る。
