Outline of Research at the Start

本計画研究では、無機材料へ分子性ユニット（分子イオン、錯体、クラスターなど）を組み込んだ物質群「超セラミックス」について、固体化学的視点からのアプローチによる物質創製に向けた新規合成法の確立を目的とする。当計画班 (A01) では、固体化学の専門家の合成技術を集結し、結晶格子中に(OH)-, (O2)2-, (SCN)-, (NCN)2-, (BH4)-などの分子イオン（アニオン）を組み込んだ新物質を探索する。旧来のセラミックス合成に分子性化合物原料を取り入れた特殊合成法を開発し、分子イオンの異方的形状や動的特性など新たな自由度をもつ結晶性化合物の設計構築指針を示す。
