Outline of Research at the Start

本計画研究では、無機材料へ分子性ユニット(分子イオン、錯体、クラスターなど)を組み込んだ物質群「超セラミックス」について、固体化学的視点からのアプローチによる物質創製に向けた新規合成法の確立を目的とする。当計画班 (A01) では、固体化学の専門家の合成技術を集結し、結晶格子中に(OH)-, (O2)2-, (SCN)-, (NCN)2-, (BH4)-などの分子イオン(アニオン)を組み込んだ新物質を探索する。旧来のセラミックス合成に分子性化合物原料を取り入れた特殊合成法を開発し、分子イオンの異方的形状や動的特性など新たな自由度をもつ結晶性化合物の設計構築指針を示す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

無機材料へ分子性ユニットを組み込んだ物質群「超セラミックス」について、固体化学的視点からのアプローチによる物質創製に向けた新規合成法の確立を目的とする。当計画班 (A01) では、旧来のセラミックス合成に分子性化合物原料を取り入れた「内圏型超セラミックス」の特殊合成法を開発し、分子イオンの異方的形状や動的特性など新たな自由度をもつ結晶性化合物の設計構築指針を示す。2024年度の主な研究成果は以下の通り。
(1)独自の「気相水酸化物化反応」により見出した新規金属酸水酸化物について、結晶構造の決定および機能性開拓を行った。Sr-Bi酸水酸化物が未知の層状構造をもつこと、Ba-Sc酸水酸化物がペロブスカイト関連構造を有することを見出した。また、いくつかの新規酸水酸化物が特異な蛍光発光特性を示すことを発見した。
(2)超高圧法により、Li2Sn1-xRuxO3の合成に成功し、ハニカム構造→ハイパーハニカム構造→Li2PbO3型構造への相転移を観測した。特に、ハイパーハニカム型Li2Ru0.75Sn0.25O3を正極材料として電気化学サイクルを行った際に、O-O二量体の形成が確認された。また、CrN3構成単位を含む新規窒化物(Ca1-xSrx)3CrN3の合成にも成功し、Sr含有量の増加に伴いエレクトライド的性質が発現することを見出した。
(3)グアニジン塩類を用いたZnNCNのプロアニオン合成において、炭酸塩と塩酸塩で単相での合成が可能であること、それぞれで反応過程が異なることが分かった。また、尿素を用いたプロアニオン合成では、Ce2(NCN)3が未知の結晶相で合成できることを見出した。
(4)固相メタセシス法とメカノケミカル法を組み合わせたメカノケミカルメタセシス法によって、通常の加熱では合成困難なAg2NCN、新物質Bi3MO4Cl(NCN)が合成可能であることを明らかにした。

Reason

当研究で推進している4つの超セラミックス合成法:「特殊雰囲気合成法」「特殊反応場合成法」「プロアニオン合成法」「メカノケミカルメタセシス法」により、前年度に引き続き多数の新物質を合成することに成功した。また、新規化合物において分子イオン由来の機能性発現が確認されている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

以下の4つの合成スキームについて分子イオン化合物の新規開発を図る。
(1) 特殊雰囲気合成:「気相水酸化物化反応(=高温高濃度水蒸気中合成)」で得られた新規金属酸水酸化物を概観し、当該化合物の特徴に基づき新規化合物の設計指針を確立する。また、分子イオンに由来する新奇機能性の発現メカニズムの解明を目指す(稲田G、杉本G、前園G、恩田Gとの共同研究)。
(2) 特殊反応場合成:これまでの成果を受けて、今後は引き続き高圧合成による新物質の探索を推進するとともに、既に常圧合成されている既知物質に対しても再検討を行い、圧力や電場・磁場といった外部刺激下で常圧状態では現れない新奇な物性が発現する可能性に注目して研究を進める。
(3) プロアニオン合成: グアニジン塩類を用いた金属(オキシ)カルボジイミドの合成をZnNCN以外にも拡張するとともにそれぞれにおける反応過程の解析を精密に行う。またプロアニオン法によってLa2O2NCN:Eu3+,Pr3+を合成し、長残光蛍光体としての可能性を探る(上田Gとの共同研究)。さらにRE2(NCN)3については詳細な結晶構造解析を進めていく(杉本Gとの共同研究)。
(4) メカノケミカルメタセシス合成:前年度に合成したBi3MO4Cl(NCN)について、物性・機能の評価、計算化学による解析を行う(杉本G、木本Gとの共同研究)。さらにNCN2-と(CO3)2-など、複数の分子アニオンを1つの物質に含んだ新物質(例えばBi2O2X (X = NCN2-, (CO3)2-)の合成を本手法によって試みる。
