Outline of Research at the Start

微生物によるCO関連代謝の全貌を解明する。酸素に満ちた現在の地球において、CO環境は例外的であるため、微生物によるCO代謝に関する我々の理解は非常に未熟である。本計画研究では「非生物由来のCH4とCOが共存する蛇紋岩水系」および「CO2とCOが共存する深海の液体CO２プール環境」においてフィールド調査を行い、それらのオミックス解析、進化学的解析、新規微生物のCO代謝解析を行うことで、始原的CO代謝の成因・特性を推定する。
