Outline of Research at the Start

RNA結合タンパク質（RBP）は，RNAに結合することでタンパク質翻訳調節を担う一方，近年凝集性を獲得することで神経変性を引き起こすことが注目されている．そこで，本研究者らは神経変性疾患の病態解明を目指して，RBPと不均一に共凝集したメタアグリゲートによる病態仮説を立てた．本研究では，新たなメタアグリゲートの探索を目的として，ex vivo SELEX法による分子進化実験によって，メタアグリゲートに結合しやすいRNA配列を同定する．さらに，アミロイドー鍵蛋白質ーRNAの3者からなる新規メタアグリゲートを探索し，その形成機構および病態機序の解明を目指す．
