Outline of Research at the Start

次世代のマルチメッセンジャー観測では「異なる波長領域・粒子の放射機構の関係性を包括的に理解するための観測感度が達成されているか」という視点が新たに要求される。そこで本計画班は将来の観測で「感度の穴」となり得るエネルギー帯域の重点的な高度化を高エネルギー粒子の観測で進め、B02 班の検出器開発とともに本研究分野の長期的な成長を本研究提案期間を越えて支援する。高エネルギー観測では個々の天体からの光子・ニュートリノ検出数が限られていた現状を打破し、観測可能天体数を増加させ、時間変動やエネルギースペクトルを高統計観測で引き出す。
