Outline of Research at the Start

オルガネラは、真核細胞において独自の機能を有する細胞内構造体であり、各オルガネラは千差万別の寿命で代謝回転するオルガネラ固有のタンパク質群で構成されている。オルガネラ特有の化学反応やそれを触媒・駆動するタンパク質の同定や局在化機構は盛んに研究されているものの、個々のオルガネラタンパク質の寿命とその寿命を決定する要因には不明な点が多く残っている。本研究では、オルガネラタンパク質の寿命決定において、これまで見出されていなかった新しい分解様式と作動原理を発見し、タンパク質寿命制御の理解を目指す。
