Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、ユビキタスな光合成超分子複合体の足場となるチラコイド膜の形成と維持（＝リモデリング）に着目する。膜リモデリング超分子の構造に基づき、光合成生物が獲得したチラコイド膜の時空間的配置を司るメカニズムを詳らかにする。最近構造が明らかになったVIPP1タンパク質を中心に、膜リモデリング分子とチラコイド膜の構造生理、生化学的な研究を融合的に進め、光合成ユビキティを達成した環境適応機構を解明する。膜リモデリング超分子について、構造学的あるいは生化学的な従来までの研究にとどまらず、他の研究班との融合研究を実施し，光合成ユビキティを可能にしたチラコイド膜レベルでの環境適応原理を解明する。
