Outline of Final Research Achievements

Microtubules, the main cytoskeletal components in eukaryotic cells, comprise globular αβ-tubulin dimers stacked head-to-tail to form protofilaments (pfs) that run lengthwise along the cell wall, thereby conferring structural polarity.Lis1 fixed the conformation of cytoplasmic dynein bound to a microtubule regardless of the nucleotide condition. This suggests that the NUDC (mNUDC) interacts with kinesin-1 and is required for the kinesin-1-idling state of cytoplasmic dynein on microtubules induced by Lis1 occurs through the Lis1-dependent arrest of dynein chemomechanical coupling. Mammalian mediated anterograde transport of a cytoplasmic dynein complex. Upon reaching the plus end of MTs, the small GTPase Rab6a releases LIS1 from the LIS1-dynein complex to allow the resumption of dynein motor activity. On the other hand, ADP-ribosylation factor-like 3 (Arl3) and the dynein light chain LC8 induce the dissociation of dynactin from cytoplasmic dynein to allow cargo unloading.
