Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Dynamical association and dissociation processes are essentially important for biological functions of biomolecules. To reveal the dynamical ordering of proteins and DNA, several new methods for detections of the intermolecular interaction and stability in time-domain have been developed based on the transient grating method, which can monitor the translational diffusion and thermodynamical properties in time domain. Using these methods, it was found that the structural fluctuation controls the association/dissociation reactions. Furthermore, for many photosensor proteins, increase and/or decrease in the intermolecular interaction during the protein reactions were observed. These observations are important to understand the molecule mechanism of the dynamical association/dissociation processes.
