宇宙環境は微小重力や宇宙放射線等の影響のために筋力や骨量の減少および免疫機能低下が惹起され、まるで加齢変化が加速したような恒常性破綻をもたらす。本研究では、NRF2活性化がマウスの宇宙環境における恒常性維持にどのように貢献できるのかを調べる。さらに、宇宙実験から得られる知見を生命の環境適応メカニズムの理解および人類の加齢性疾患克服へ応用・展開を目指す。
