Outline of Research at the Start |
This project explores a new class of materials called 'disordered hyperuniform' (DHU) materials, which combine the seemingly contrasting elements of both amorphous and crystalline structures and their advantages. These materials are expected to exhibit unique mechanical and electronic properties. By synthesizing and analyzing candidate DHU materials using advanced scattering techniques and simulations, we aim to develop new materials with enhanced performance for future applications, and to establish the concept of hyperuniformity in Materials Science.
