Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We proposed an intelligent, autonomous surgical robot to approach the affected surgical area based on multidisciplinary computational anatomy and limited intraoperative biological information. Based on this idea, we conducted the following studies: (i) navigation and robotic system for colon surgery, (ii) study on stapler device control for pancreatic tissue damage suppression, and (iii) navigation and robotic system for oral and maxillofacial surgery. Each study was launched in collaboration with other groups of this multidisciplinary computational anatomy project.
