Research Abstract |
The US-Japan Immunology Symposium sponsered by the US-Japan Medical Cooperative Program was held in January 1990 in New Orleans. The representative immunologists from bothe US and Japan participated in this Symposium and discussed about the up-to-date results on the regulation of the immune system. The topics were as follows; 1) The interaction between the major histocompatibility antigens and antigenic peptide fragments. 2) The molecules associated with IgM receptor on B cells. 3) The molecules involved in the recombination of the immunoglobulin genes and T cell receptor genes. 4) Interleukines and their receptors, especially the nuclear factor involved in the expression of IL-6.
