Research Abstract

It was agreed between University Tsukuba and University of Grenoble to study cultural deferenses between Japanese and French children in their process of reasoning in solving geometric problems. Original reaearch plan was analyze their textbooks, curricula and through paper and pencil tests. Possibility of introducing computers to classroom instruction was considered at later stage. To materialize computer use in education, this survey trip was conducted.
