Research Abstract

For life to proceed in orderly fashion, metabolic pathways must be regulated. Aims of this project is to clarify the mechanisms by which metabolic processes are regulated and to promote mutual understanding in scientific research between Japan and China. We focused our research on the biological oxidation systems as follows.
1. Isozymes of oxygenases.
2. The physiological role of flavin-dependent oxidases in mammalian peroxisomes.
