Research Abstract |
A Solid manure injection system is a beneficial method which reduces undesirable order and pollution problems from runoff. The solid manure injector, made as a trial consists of three basic units that are furrow opener, manure auger conveyer and covering device with soil. This injector is located at the front end of a box type manure spreader, in which the travel direction of web is reversed in order to bring the manure to the front. The optimum condition in injection control system of the solid manure injector is investigated on many experimental results. The tested material is bark manure. The volume of bark manure pushed to auger conveyer is adjusted by on-off control system on the electric circuit that moves automatically the floor chain of a manure spreader, so that the fulling rate of auger filled with manure is able to keep the constant value of 80-90%. Under this condition, the injection volume of manure in farm can be arranged easily by changing the revolution speed of auger shaft. From the results of field tests on the performance of the solid manure injector, bark manure is able to be injected into the furrow with constant value and covered with 30-50% of the soil displaced by the shovel of furrow opener.
