Research Abstract |
Upper full denture wearers having bilateral free end partial dentures. Long time users had incorrect centric occlusion. Treatment dentures composed of cured resin built up on molar teeth corrected the occlusal alteration. In adaptable processing, gradual occlusal alteration was evident. Successfully cured resin build up was tested using electromyographics and mendibular kinesiographical parameters. MKG's data revealed the same tendency for Subjects 1 and 2 but Subject 3 revealed a different tendency. As the denture base became larger, the supporting mechanism in Subject 3 varied slightly. EMG's TIME PARAMETERS - Electromyographical activity revealed the onset time of RMm tooth contact to be late and the offset time to occur more rapidly. All subjects in this experiment experienced the same tendencies. The four muscles corresponded successively. The integrated EMG findings showed that the power coordination pattern of integrated EMG was predominantly working masseter muscles. In all subject cases, the coefficient variance values of EMG's cycle time decreased at regular intervals.
