Research Abstract

(1)惑星系星雲の形成。(理論)回転磁気雲の収縮は初期には角運動量の放出,その後徐々に磁束を失いつつ準静的収縮,水素密度10^<10>-10^<11>cm^<-3>をこえると急速に磁束を失う。回転と磁場のあるガス雲の運動はより一般的に磁場と重力ポテンシャルとに対する2つの楕円型偏微分方程式で記述され、解は4個のパラメ-タと2個の任意関数により特徴づけられる。物理的には系の自由エネルギ-の適当な定義により解釈できる。磁場の影響はさらに星形成のトリガ-、分子流天体のジェット形成に対しても大きく,従来の磁場を含まない描像は大きな変更を要する。(観測)赤外線によって暗雲星雲中のH_2O氷の3.07μmスペクトルを観測し、進化の時間に従って深さが浅くなること,2.97μmに未同定の吸収があることを発見,電波観測によって(2.6mmCOバンド)分子流天体は星間ガスの降着期にある原始星であることを発見した。
(2)隕石磁気。残留磁気の5×10^9年間の安定性はFeーNi微粒子に対しては温度0℃以下,ピロライトに対して50℃以下であれば保たれることが実験的に明らかになった。室内実験から、FeーNi微粒子はFeとNiの微粒子の接合生長でできること,Feの硫化物も形成されることが確かめられた。
(3)星雲の熱史と固体の形成集積。室内実験では、アモルファス氷の凝縮蒸発が詳細に測定され,アモルファス氷が多孔性であることが大きな影響をもつことが明らかになった。同じくプラズマか急冷された炭素質物質は,未同定赤外ラインの多くと一致する吸収を示す。理論では、原始太陽系星雲中で同体微粒子が空間的に濃縮した場所で局所的加熱がおこり蒸発すると,金属と酸素とに富むガスが形成され、そこからの再凝縮が調べられた。また,微惑星の集積に関し、太陽重力を考慮した2体衝突が従来より2ないし3倍高くなること,run away growthを導くことが示された。
