Research Abstract

(1) MEASUREMENT OF OZONE YIELD EFFICIENCY AT THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE IN STRATOSPHERE
THE PRESSURE IN STRATOSPHERE HAS THE WIDE RANGE FORM 1 TORR TO 200 TORR CORRESPONDING TO THE HIGHT( 15 KM-50 KM).THE OZONE SYNTHESIS BY THE GLOW DISCHAREGE AND/OR UV IRRADIATION HAVE BEEN EXAMINED. HOWEVER, THE OZONE YIELD,NAMELY THE AMOUNT OF SYNTHESIZED OZONE/POWER,SHOWED LOW MAGNITUTES AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR THE OZONE SUPPLY IN HIGHER ZONE IN STRATOSPHERE.
THE CENTER OF GRAVITY OF OZONE IN STRATOSPHERE IS TO BE AT 20-25 KM IN HIGHT,AND ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE AT THOSE ZONE IS TO BE 70 TORR. AT THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN STORATOSHERE AND TROPOSHERE,MAGNITUDE OF PRESSURE IS APPROXIMATELY 200 TORR.AND IN THOSE PRESSURE RANGE,SILENT DISCHARGE MAY BE AVAILABLE TO SUPPLY OZONES AS ON THE GROUND.
FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF ELECTRIC SOURCE,THE OZONE YIELD OF 100GR/KWH IS NEEDED TO SUPPLY THE CONSIDER-ABLE QUANTITY.THIS MAGINTUTE HAS BEEN REALIZED EXPERIMENTALLY AT THE GAP LENGTH OF 6-9 MM BETWEEN TWO DIELECTRIC PLATES WHICH HAVE THE METAL ELECTRODE ON OUTER SIDE.
THE RAPID EXCLUDE OF OZONE FROM THE OZONE GENERATOR IS DESIRABLE TO PROTECT THE DECOMPOSITION OF OZONE BY FOLLOWING DISCHARGE.THE RESULT OBTAINED BY EXPERIMENT SHOWS THAT 24-240 MS OF THE RESIDENCE TIME HAS LITTLE AFFECT ON THE OZONE YIELD.
(2) OZONE ON THE GROUND ( FROM THE MOVEMENT IN JAPAN,EUROPA AND US)
FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF UV ABSORPTION FROM THE SUN,INTEGRATED SUM OF OZONE BY THE HIGHTS IS IMPORTANT. THIS PROJECT AIMED TO INCREASE THE OZONE IN LOWER ZONE OF STRATOSPHERE. RECENTLY,NEW WAYS SUCH AS ELECTRONBEAM TECHNOLOGY ARE TO READY FOR THE PROCESSING OF DENOX AND DECOMPOSITION OF TOXIC MATERIALS USED IN INDUSTRIES.THE MECHANISM OF THE OZONE GENERATION AND OR ITS DECOMPOSITION MUST BE DONE TO DECREASE THE INFLUENCE OF OZONE TO LIFE.
