Research Abstract |
Errors of numerical analysis by the boundary element method (BEM) can divided into three types of errors. These are errors due to numerical integration, errors due to mapping of boundary shape and errors due to discretizing the unknown functions. This research aims at developing the system of self correcting errors of the third type in the above. Estimation of the errors of this type is essentially difficult since the exact solution of a given problem can't be known. In this study, convergent solution is regarded as the destined solution and two methods which decide whether the obtained solution has converged or not are investigated. The one is the method which check the variations of solutions by shifting the intermediate node and the other is done by recalculating using finer elements. As a results. As a results, the latter is found to be excellent because of two reasons. That is , 1 : the time for re-constructing the matrices can be very short, 2 : the re-calculated data can be utilized as the next step data. In the red system, the device which utilize the data base for G and H matrices is incorporated. It is found that this device, which is developed by the author, gives remarkable effectiveness since it can reduce the time for constructing matrices and can exclude the errors of type 1 and 2.
