Research Abstract |
Purpose : To diagnosis rejection or infection in renal transplant recipients, we studied the subset analysis of T cell in periferal blood mononuclear cells using monoclonal antibodies. Methods and Results : (1)To evaluate recipient's lymphocytes response, recipient's lymphocyte were cultured with recipient's HCMV infected fibroblast or donor's HCMV infected fibroblast. There were no significance responses. (2)We studied the subset analysis of cytotoxic effector T cell in peripheral blood mononuclear cells using a new monoclonal antibody T8-FITC/S6Fl-ROl in renal transplant recipients. In a half of patients who had acute rejections, the increase of T8+S6Fl+ cells was identified. These cells positively appeared at the onset of the infection episodes. But we could not distinguish acute rejection from infection. (3)OKT4/OKT8 ratios were decreased when CMV was isolated from the urine or blood. If OKT4/OKT8 ratios in recipients peripheral blood mononuclear cells is decrease, renal dysfunction may be due to-infection.
