Research Abstract |
Nine papers in the Report discuss some current issues of Improving oral communication skills for Japanese Learners of English with a special reference to teaching methods and content. The first author, Kanji Watanabe argues how to improve logical communicative competence in English on the basis of fundamental scholastic ability survey. The second author, Kanji Iwamoto and others discuss some practical and useful ways to solve the problems above in terms of materials development, teaching methods and content, and evaluation.
